Embracing & delivering health and wellness on & off the building site
For more than 30 years, Henley Homes continues to be passionate about people’s health and wellbeing and is committed in creating many opportunities in helping Victorians achieve mental and physical health.
From the Employee Assistance Program set up for Henley employees, trades and sub-contractors, building dozens of charity homes, to supporting a suite of local communities and programs, Henley is unwavering in its commitment in encouraging conversations, building resilience and self-awareness, as well as getting behind campaigns which supports and encourages helping people with their health and wellbeing.
Henley recently supplied footy jumpers to the East Malvern Junior Football Club Under 16 Boys and Girls sides. The players were then given an opportunity to create fundraising opportunities so they could keep the jumper, and at the same time, raise funds for Headspace Australia and the National Youth Mental Health Foundation.
The Under 16 girl teams were wearing their jumpers with pride when they recently caught up with Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, Henley Properties CEO Antony Blackshaw and a stream of other guests at the East Malvern Junior Football Club. It was an opportunity for the players to share their fundraising stories and over the remainder of the season, they will undertake a number of fundraising initiatives that will grow their understanding and values of philanthropy and giving back to the community!
According to Henley Properties CEO Antony Blackshaw, Henley’s involvement in giving back to the community is so much more than donating funds.
“It is so important that we set an example in not only talking about health and wellbeing but also help facilitate opportunities for our next generation to participate, like these junior football players,” Antony said.
“It is these sorts of small acts we do in the community which then create the biggest of impacts.”
“Giving back to the community is a fundamental part of the Henley philosophy, and it is tremendous to see this growing wave of enthusiasm amongst the younger generation embracing that as well.”
“It has never been a more important time to check in on the people around us, especially after such a challenging and stressful year. At Henley, we genuinely care and are interested in others’ wellbeing, and encourage all Victorians to do the same.”
