From Henley, we simply say THANK YOU!

26th March 2018

General News Philanthropy

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of donating homes to the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children’s Hospital - this year has been made extra special, with many thanks to our extended network of generous trades and suppliers.

With 100% of the proceeds donated to the Good Friday Appeal from the no reserve auction, we’ve always hoped the tireless work of our tradies and the generous support of suppliers is recognised through a record-breaking bid. With so much quality, value and inclusions bundled into the feel-good house and land package…everyone wins!

A heartfelt thanks to all involved

It has been a feat of gigantic proportions, with more than 320,000 labour hours donated over five months. From companies such as Boral, who have donated over $300,000 of products and services since Henley first became involved in the project in 1993, to local businesses such as JH Carpentry and Safety Scaffolding, who are always up for the challenge in lending a hand to this very special project. Without the generosity of all trades and suppliers involved this enormous task would not be possible and it is a credit to all involved that 2018 celebrates the 38th home to be built for this great cause. The Directors and entire Henley team extend a personal thank you to all involved for the incredible support each year!

The big breakfast reveal

Each year, Henley hosts the tradie and supplier thank you breakfast, a moment in time to reveal the finished property to all the trades and suppliers that have contributed along the way. For many, it is the first time they have seen the completed house this year. To celebrate a replica 3D Emperor cake was presented by Boutique Cake Art, with cupcakes aplenty by The Tiny Chef Australia to help celebrate the moment and mark the occasion!
