Smiles and celebrations all-round for the 2021 Good Friday Appeal Charity House Auction reveal

When you combine two dedicated Australian organisations, three enthusiastic siblings and four cheeky, yet generous tradies, all together for the one, special cause, you are guaranteed it is going to be a great morning!

And that was the case when Henley gave a sneak preview of the 2021 Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Charity House, to be auctioned off, with no reserve, on Good Friday next year.

The site was bustling with selfless trades and suppliers, who have donated their time and resources in building the stunning Vogue 34 by Henley Homes, located in Villawood Properties’ boutique Rathdowne Community in Wollert.

The stars of the show

Going under the hammer in 2021 will be the stunning Vogue 34 by Henley Homes, which is a 34-square, four-bedroom home, with four living areas, and expansive master suite.

For the fourth year, every piece of furniture, soft furnishing and decorative accessory inside the Vogue 34 on auction day will be donated by key furniture partners and included as part of the auction price.

The Henley home also boasts a gourmet, multi-functional kitchen featuring Caesarstone™ benchtops, Italian-made SMEG™ stainless steel extra-large appliances including microwave and free-standing dishwasher, glass splashbacks with feature window and Innotech soft close drawers and doors to kitchen.

The fully furnished home will be appointed with luxury fittings and fixtures, and finished with professional landscaping, decking, ducted heating and air-conditioning, and window coverings – everything a buyer needs to move straight in.

Trio of smiles

It was all smiles for the Kiriakidis family siblings, Jordanna 13, Alexis 9 and Dean 7, who were decked out in their own junior tradie gear to ‘help’ out the chippies on this special day.

The terrific trio were in top form as cameras clicked away, including the Herald Sun, to record the unveiling.  Also on hand to celebrate the reveal, was newly-appointed Rebecca Cowan, Executive Director, Good Friday Appeal.  She joined the Henley and Villawood teams for a tour inside the house in progress.

Henley Homes Victorian Building Manager, Mark Glenn, said Victoria’s support for the Good Friday Appeal continues to grow from strength to strength.

“Every person connected to the charity home build, from Henley Homes and Villawood to all the trades and suppliers, have a personal connection to the cause, or are very aware of the significant work and service the Royal Children’s Hospital provides,” he said.

“When it comes to generosity, you don’t have to look further than our amazing team, trades and suppliers, who year after year continue to support the construction and delivery of a beautiful family home to auction, with 100% of the proceeds going to the appeal.  Their contribution to the project is invaluable,” he said.

The 2021 Charity House Auction will mark 29 years of building and donating homes by Henley Homes and Villawood’s 12th year donating land to the appeal. The initiative has raised over $16 million for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal over its 29 year history.
