Construction for the 2013 Good Friday Appeal Charity Auction home is well underway at Villawood’s Pasadena Estate in Clyde North!

The Good Friday Appeal is a unique fundraising activity that brings together people from all parts of the community with a common goal of raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

2013 marks the 20th year Henley’s tradespeople, suppliers and staff have come together to build and auction a home where the proceeds are then donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

The charity house auction began in 1993 and since that time, 33 new homes have been auctioned, raising more than $10.8 million for the Good Friday Appeal. In 2012, the Good Friday Appeal funds were used to purchase highly sophisticated state of the art imaging equipment, which provided a greatly improved imaging process and more accurate results for patients who have forms of cancer, neurological conditions and other diseases.

This year, Henley’s auction house is an 8 star energy rated house and is one of the latest new home designs from the Henley Clendonvale collection. Benefits of an 8 star home include lower temperature extremes, naturally sunny and well lit interior, carefully selected windows to maximise the home’s natural passive solar and thermal performance and reduced heating and cooling bills with the home projected to use 47% less heating and cooling energy compared with a 6 star home.

Other features of the home include:

  • Carpet and timber look flooring throughout
  • Designer gourmet kitchen with Caesarstone benches and the latest stainless steel appliances
  • Undercover alfresco with timber stacker sliding doors
  • Heating and cooling throughout
  • Complete front and rear landscaping
  • 20mm Caesarstone® benchtops throughout
  • Architectural square set cornices to living areas and much, much more
