We can't wait to see you soon!

21 January 2022

Right through this pandemic, we’ve been committed to delivering each and every one of customers the best of experiences, working relentlessly through restrictions and lockdowns – pivoting and adapting with a positive, can-do attitude through each and every new phase (and there’s been so many (sweat brow emoji).

Our most recent priority has been to reopen our showroom for colour selection appointments and we are incredibly (absolutely thrilled) to announce it’s happening from this Tuesday 25 January!

Yep, we’re switching safely back to IN PERSON COLOUR SELECTION APPOINTMENTS (party emoji) with some added safety measures:

  1. All customers with booked appointments will be supplied with a RAT kit on arrival and must return a negative result prior to starting
  2. Appointment attendees must be kept to a maximum of two adults (as nominated on contracts)
  3. Our design showroom team are over the moon to be back in the office and will also be required to return a negative result

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your nominated start time and a reminder that we all still need to follow the standard Covid settings:

  1. Wear a mask indoors and where social distancing is not possible outdoors
  2. Scan our 1Breadcrumb QR Code to complete a health declaration
  3. Scan the Service Victoria QR Code as per Government regulations
  4. Maintain physical distancing and density quotas as instructed

Weekend showroom browsing remains closed for the time being as we move through this current wave of case numbers.

If you have a scheduled appointment, we will be in touch to confirm arrangements.

14 January 2022

All displays (including Craigieburn and Cranbourne) are now open and homes available for viewing, by appointment only, Saturday to Tuesday (closed Wed, Thurs and Fri).

Our new home consultants at all centres are available also by appointment to meet 7 days a week - virtually only.

7 January 2022

Hi and Happy New Year,

I hope you, your family and friends are safe and coping with all the challenges of the increasing Covid-19 cases we are seeing across the country.

As a business operating in Victoria, Queensland, NSW and SA, we have adapted quickly (and frequently) and learnt a great deal over the last two years - rapidly adopting new technologies, and in the process, enhancing our business practices.

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank our team who have worked tremendously hard, demonstrating unwavering commitment, passion and resilience in very difficult circumstances.

We’d also like to thank you – our customers. The overwhelming customer feedback we have received is a testament to our strong family values and culture instilled by our owners - evident in even the most trying of circumstances across our industry and in our history.

With increasing Covid cases in the community, I wanted to let you know that we are implementing some changes across our business, using our experiences over the past 2 years to ensure we continue to serve you - and get you into your new home as safe and quickly as we can.

Display Centres Open Saturday to Tuesday - By Appointment Only

Our displays are open and homes available for viewing, by appointment only, Saturday to Tuesday (closed Wed, Thurs and Fri). Please note Craigieburn and Cranbourne are currently closed.

To do our part in slowing the spread of Covid, our new home consultants are available to meet 7 days a week - virtually only (including Craigieburn and Cranbourne).  With two years of experience delivering virtual appointments, our team have become absolute experts in online meetings and can deal with any and every query you have.

Please contact your preferred display location to book an appointment.

Our virtual design showroom is just a click away where you can immerse yourself in all things design. I also encourage you to visit and take a virtual tour of our homes online, where it almost feels like you are actually inside the house!

Colour Selections

When opening this coming Monday 10 January, our design showroom will once again be moving to virtual appointments. We understand the importance of getting your selections right and we have invested heavily in our people and technology to deliver an equal, if not better, experience under Covid settings. I personally do not think you will find a team of more experienced, passionate and skilful interior designers who have the sole purpose of delivering your dream home vision. Unlike other builders, they don't work on commission, so they're not going to prompt endless upgrades or be anything but honest! I am forever grateful how technology is allowing us to continue to deliver a personalised one-on-one colour selection process that virtually feels like you are in the showroom.

To provide an extra level of comfort for those undertaking virtual colour selection appointments, we will continue with our ‘viewing appointments’.  Over the coming weeks, as we move through this current wave of Covid-19 case numbers, we will invite you to the design showroom for an appointment where you can add even more confidence to your choices – being able to see, feel, touch and confirm your interior colour selections that you made during your virtual colour appointment.

Showroom Browsing

We will be temporarily halting showroom browsing as we move through this current wave of growing case numbers. We will continue to monitor numbers and Government advice and keep you updated when this will be re-instated. Check in with our Instagram account to see lots of showroom and display home inspiration! @henley_homes

Tenders and Contract signing appointments

Both tender and contract signing appointments will continue virtually. Once again, I am buoyed by the overwhelming customer feedback of this new way of signing tenders and contracts saving everyone valuable time to keep things moving. It’s so popular and convenient, we believe this process will remain as an option post-Covid.

Construction industry status

With excellent planning and industry collaboration, the construction industry has largely remained open and there is no change expected here as we continue to work with our team of subbies and suppliers. I’d like to thank our team for their ongoing commitment to health and safety and their dedication to keep working to get you into your new home – quickly, safely and without compromising our highest quality standards.

Maintenance checks

Our team is continuing to work on the backlog of maintenance inspections caused by the various lockdowns in Victoria during 2021. I want to reassure you that any delay in your 12 month defects check, caused by the Covid-19 restrictions will not affect our obligations to you under clause 39 of your HIA Contract.  In fact, we will ensure you are covered until we get to inspect your home. Given the backlog we may not be able to see you for up to 24 months. This extended period of time will allow your home to settle further, enabling us to address any additional issues that might arise during that time. We really do appreciate your understanding on this, and hope that you can respect our team and their efforts to do the right thing. Rest assured, we will complete all inspections in due course.

Emergencies

In the event of an after-hours emergency or for urgent queries, please contact our Home Emergency Service hotline via our Henley main reception number on 03 9574 5333 and follow the prompts accordingly.

Ongoing COVIDSafe Plans

Before we can welcome you inside our offices and displays (with the widest of physically distanced arms), there are a few important things we need to do. As per Government regulations and to keep everyone safe and healthy, you will need to check in and follow the below requirements:

Thank you

In closing, thanks again for trusting us to build your new home. It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly and we look forward to welcoming you to the club of proud Henley home owners. If you haven’t chosen a builder yet, visit Henley Everyday Advantage and see what sets us apart from other builders.

Stay safe.

Antony Blackshaw – CEO Henley Properties Group

4 January 2022

With the increasing numbers of Covid-19 in our community, our display homes are moving to special January operating and trading hours.

Effective from midnight tonight, our displays will be open and homes available for viewing Saturday through to Tuesday 11am – 5.30pm daily (closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

If you wish to meet with a New Home Consultant, you will be required to book a virtual appointment. Please contact your preferred display location to book an appointment. Our New Home Consultants are available to meet virtually 7 days per week.

Please note each of our centres will be operating with two independent teams with the aim of eliminating exposure risk for both our team and customers.

This is a precautionary approach to keep everyone healthy and to ensure we can continue to serve you and get you into your new home as safe and quickly as we can.

28 October 2021

After what feels like an eternity of lockdowns and closures, we are beyond THRILLED to be re-opening our display home doors across Melbourne from 11am this Saturday!

We know that you’ve been eagerly awaiting to visit our displays, and boy are we excited to be welcoming you back. After staring at a floor plan for months, it’s finally time to explore, touch and feel what could be your #foreverhome, in person.

Before we can welcome you inside our offices and displays (with the widest of physically distanced arms), there are a few important things we need to do. As per Government regulations and to keep everyone safe and healthy, you will need to check in and follow the below requirements:

Proof of Vaccination

In terms of the Government’s latest Proof of Vaccination requirements, we fully appreciate this is not straight forward and thank you for your co-operation as we navigate through this together. To ensure we comply with the Vaccine Directions and guidelines issued by the Government, we need to treat our offices separately to our display homes. Therefore, the following will apply:

  1. No proof of vaccination required to move though our offices to view our display homes. Please note no mingling or appointment with our team will be possible.
  2. Proof of at least one dose of vaccination required for any appointment or time to meet with our team in an office setting.
  3. If you are unvaccinated or do not wish to share your vaccination status, and wish to meet with our team, please let us know and we will arrange to assist you virtually in whatever way we can to get your new home built.

Design Showroom

As the design showroom forms part of our head office, we will be resuming face-to-face colour selection appointments for vaccinated customers from Wednesday 3 November. Customers must show evidence of at least one dose. If you have a scheduled appointment, the team will be in touch with you soon to confirm details.

For non-vaccinated customers and those not willing to share their vaccination status, our current virtual process will apply.

The same check-in rules as our display centres apply to the design showroom.

Well Melbourne, it’s time to put away those trackie pants and ugg boots (unless you like to wear them in public…#nojudgement) and head on down to visit the team at one of our 8 display centres across Melbourne and Geelong.

We can't wait to see you soon!

26 September 2021

With the announcement of restrictions easing in Geelong, our Mt Duneed display centre will re-open again from 11am on 27 September.

What better excuse to get out of the house and visit our 2 beautiful display homes, the hamptons inspired Ashbury 29 and coastal oasis Carmelle 25.

Our team have missed you and can’t wait to welcome you back!

23 September 2021

Based on the extension of the COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the State Government until 11.59pm on Thursday 28 October 2021, our Home Assurance Department is unable to conduct inspections within your home or attend for rectification works.

The team remains available to accept calls and to make arrangements for attendance to emergency situations only i.e. situations that compromise your home such as severe water leak/ gas leak, safety or security.

Please be reassured your concerns are of importance to us and contact will be made at the earliest opportunity upon current Restrictions allowing.

Should you have had previous bookings postponed, these will be re-scheduled at such time.

We request your patience during this time and appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

Please take care and stay safe.

19 September 2021

With the Victorian Government announcement of a snap 7-day lockdown in Geelong, our Mt Duneed display centre will be closed from 20 September until further notice. Like always, our team are all set up to (virtually) assist you. Call up and have a chat, they would love to hear from you and help you with any questions you have.

Don't forget to explore our home designs online through or virtual tours and be inspired by our design showroom online.

10 September 2021

We are thrilled to be opening the doors of our Mt Duneed display. We have missed you!

Even though we are pros at this now, there are a few important things to remember when visiting us. As per Victorian Government advice, we will be checking all ID’s upon arrival to ensure our visitors are regional Victorian residents. In line with Government regulations and our COVIDSafe business plan, you are required to check in on arrival and follow all our COVIDSafe guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.

What better way to end the lockdown than meeting our Carmelle 25 with the showstopping Ridge façade and the Ashbury 29 with the dreamy Northampton façade. You never know… they could be #theone

5 August 2021

Well, hello lockdown 6.0.

It’s confirmed, we’re headed into a 7 day lockdown in Victoria and our display centres and design showroom are closed again.

It’s ok, because we know we can do this!

We’re all human and no doubt feeling a little dampened by today’s news but here at Henley, we’re grateful that we’re are all set up at home and able to continue helping you on your build journey. Please get in touch with your New Home Consultant if you need any help (they really would love to see you – and you might get to see some cute kids or pets in the background!!).

If you have a colour appointment scheduled during the lockdown period, our team will be in contact with you to discuss alternate arrangements. We’re still making progress and we know how to keep things moving safely during a lockdown!

If you are looking for some lockdown inspo or just need a break from the kids, jump on our website and take a tour of our homes or lose yourself in our magic kingdom – the Henley design showroom.

Our construction team, trades and suppliers will continue building homes during this period as the residential building industry is allowed to operate at building sites.

Please take care of yourself and loved ones.

On behalf of the entire Henley team, be safe!

28 July 2021

Our team will be back in display homes from 11am and our design showroom will also be re-opening for face-to-face colour appointments.

If you have a scheduled appointment, we will be in touch with you to confirm details. Our showroom will also be open for public browsing this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3:30pm, where our interior designers are ready to assist and inspire you.

We would like to remind you that as per State Government guidelines, all visitors must adhere to physical distancing guidelines and wear a face mask (unless they have an exemption) - and the same rules apply to our team.

Please remember to check in on arrival with the Vic Government Service app for the purposes of contact tracing. Please also note that in line with our COVIDSafe business plan, the Government requires us to collect certain health information from each visitor. This is a proactive approach to ensure the health and safety of all visitors as well as our team. We are fulfilling this obligation via a different app called ‘1Breadcrumb’ which you can easily scan on entry.

Enjoy your evening and we can't wait to see you.

16 July 2021

Displays Closed

Following the Victorian Government announcement of a 5-day lockdown, our display homes are now closed for 5 days, and are planned to re-open 11am next Wednesday 21 July.

We are fully operational online and our teams remain available to meet with you virtually. You can also visit and take a tour of our homes online.

Our design showroom and head office will also be closed but we can continue to conduct planned colours selection and electrical appointments, virtually.

We welcome you to visit our virtual design showroom, where you can take a tour and be inspired by our interior designers.

The construction of homes will continue during this period as the residential building industry is allowed to continue operating at building sites.

These lockdowns are taking their toll on some people so please make an effort to check in on a colleague, neighbour or relative .

Let’s do our part from here - please comply with the rules as set down by the Victorian Government and check the current list of exposure sites and get a test if you need to.

Stay safe.

11 June 2021

Displays Open

Our display homes are re-opening from 11am Friday 11 June.

As per the State Government guidelines, all visitors must a wear a facemask indoors and outdoors - unless they have an exemption – and the same rules apply to our team.

The Government has also mandated that each visitor to our displays must at the point of entry scan a QR code that is recognised by the Vic Government Service app for the purposes of contact tracing.

We are also required by the Government to have a COVID Safe Business Plan which requires us to collect certain health information from each visitor which is a proactive approach to ensuring the health and safety of our team and all visitors visiting a Henley premise. We are fulfilling this obligation via a different app called 1Breadcrumb which you can easily scan on entry.

We unfortunately need to use two QR codes as the Service Victoria app does not ask these health questions. We know it’s not ideal but we are balancing the need to contact trace as well as keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Our teams will be also complying with density space requirements and I thank you for your patience as we manage traffic flow in and out of our offices.

To make the best use of your time, we recommend contacting your preferred display centre to make an appointment.

Our design showroom will also be re-opening for colour appointments and if you have a scheduled appointment our team will be in touch to confirm details. Please note the showroom will be closed for public browsing over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend; public browsing will continue as usual from 9am to 3.30pm from Saturday 19 June. The same check-in rules as our display centres apply to the design showroom.

We look forward to seeing you.

Stay safe.

27 May 2021

All of our Display Homes will be closed from Friday 28 May.

Please remember, we’re here for you and can help answer any q’s, while your New Home Consultant and Customer Service teams remain available via telephone or video call (if you’d like to see a friendly face)

We’ve also got virtual tours online so while you might be indoors, you can still escape the four walls and explore our new home designs.

Our Design Showroom and Head office will also be closed due to the restrictions but we can continue to conduct planned Colours Selection and Electrical appointments, virtually. We will be in touch with customers with an appointment to confirm the arrangements.

We welcome you to visit our virtual Design Showroom, where you can take a tour and be inspired by our Interior Designers mood boards.

Thankfully the residential building industry will be allowed to continue operating at building sites so the construction of homes will continue during this period.

Please stay safe and look after each other.

Inspections and Settlement

To ensure we adhere to the Government’s guidelines we are continually adapting so that we get you into your new home as fast and safely as possible.

Inspections
For those living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Housing Industry Association (HIA), the official body of Australia’s home building industry in discussions with the State Government has determined that it is the position of the Government that prior to settlement an owner can only attend the Final Inspection. As a result, and to keep the process moving, all site related inspections other than the Final Inspection will be conducted virtually. We have revised our processes right across our business to adapt to this new way of delivering your home and we are finding that virtual appointments are working really well and positively received by our customers. I encourage you to contact your Customer Administrator if you have any questions on how this will work for you.

Settlement
Once your Final Inspections have been completed by the construction team, your Administrator will be in touch to arrange a Settlement.

For those living in regional Victoria, while you remain under Stage 3 restrictions, with strict social distancing and protocols in place, we will be able to hold your Pre-Handover, Final Inspections and Settlements on site as per normal. As with any personal meeting, to keep everyone safe and healthy, a health declaration form will need to be completed by all parties prior to attending.

We thank you for your understanding as we navigate through a constantly changing landscape.

7 August 2020

The last 5 months have been challenging for us all in so many ways we could never have anticipated.  Watching our community grow in resilience and care for each other will perhaps be the legacy of this time.

With the introduction of Stage 4 restrictions in metro Melbourne, we are grateful that the construction industry remains a permitted business by the State Government.

The new restrictions will impact the way we operate and I’d like to update you on the changes we are making to continue building your home while keeping everyone safe and healthy. In keeping with life at the moment, these rules are continually changing and we will keep you updated.

Visits to Display Homes
Our display homes are now closed. Our New Home Consultants remain available via phone or video to assist you 7 days per week 11am-5.30pm.

While you cannot personally visit our homes at present, our website remains an excellent resource with photos, videos, blogs and virtual tours to help you find your ideal home. Contact your local New Home Consultant to make an appointment.

Design Showroom Information Sessions
We are excited to unveil our virtual Design Showroom Information Session that enables you to continue designing your new home, inside and out.

If you have already booked in for a face-to-face session, you will soon be contacted by one of our Interior Designers to transition your appointment over to a virtual session. You’ll be able to hit play and immerse yourself in your new home selections, chapter by chapter, and replay, rewind or pause as many times as you like.

If you don’t yet have an appointment your New Home Consultant will contact you to book a virtual session.

Design Showroom Browsing Sessions
We are currently unable to have visitors to our Design Showroom for browsing. Our Interior Designers are available to assist you with any questions or to provide advice and inspiration virtually weekdays 10am-4pm by calling 9574 5205.

Colour Selection Appointments
All Colour Selection appointments from Monday 10 August will be conducted virtually with your own personal Interior Designer guiding you through your interior and exterior selections. They will contact you ahead of your appointment to brief you on the process. You will receive a Selections Guide that will quickly become your best friend as you design your home.

Electrical, Tender and Contract Signing
All electrical, tender and contract signing appointments are continuing virtually. Our staff are working from home and equipped to get your home to the build stage.

12-Month Maintenance and Service Inspections
Under the current guidelines all non-essential or non-emergency service inspections for occupied homes cannot proceed. We will respond to genuine emergency situations and you can contact us on 9574 5330 during Business Hours and After Hours on 9574 5333.

On-Site Building Inspections and Settlements
All on-site building inspections prior to settlement will continue as virtual appointments. If you have any questions, please contact your Site Supervisor who will assist you. With the restriction in the number of trades allowed onto job sites, things may take a little longer to progress and we thank you for understanding.

With strict social distancing and protocols in place, Pre-Handover Inspections and Settlements will continue as planned. As with any personal meeting, a health declaration form will need to be completed by all parties prior to attending.

Thank you for choosing Henley to build your home. Please rest assured we are doing everything we can to get you into your new home and keep everyone safe and healthy as we do so. Moving into your new home is a very exciting time and we are committed to making it special for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your dedicated New Home Consultant or Customer Service Administrator to discuss your needs.

This means that any customers attending an appointment from Thursday 23 July at a Henley office, display centre or building site will be required to wear a face covering.

In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, our teams will also be wearing masks and no one will be permitted to enter a Henley premise without wearing a face covering. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

To keep your new home build moving, we are pleased to offer a range of virtual appointments, which you can conduct from home! These now include:

  • obtaining sales quotes

  • on-site building inspections.

We have also added more online resources to our website, so visit our home designs page and explore the 25 virtual tours of our most popular home designs – we hope you find your favourite!

If you prefer to meet in person, physical appointments are continuing safely with COVID-19 guidelines in place for final home inspections and for Design Showroom appointments with a maximum of 2 customers allocated per each staff member. Due to the limit of people we can accommodate in the Design Showroom due to social distancing requirements, it may take a little longer at the moment to get information or appointments that you need but please know our teams are working to make this happen as fast as humanly possible. Please contact your dedicated New Home Consultant or Customer Service Administrator to discuss your needs.

8 July 2020

Return to Stage 3 Restrictions

The return to Stage 3 restrictions will mean only one change for our business. Effective from midnight tonight (8 July), all our display homes will be open by appointment only.

To further assist you through the Stage 3 restrictions, there is no need to visit us in person unless necessary and we have arrangements in place so you can still move ahead with building your home via virtual appointments for any aspect of the process – this includes obtaining sales quotes, electrical selections, tender and contract signing; and on-site building inspections.

There is no change to our Design Showroom appointments and we continue to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.   Please contact your dedicated New Home Consultant or Customer Service Administrator to discuss your requirements.

Take care and do your part to stop the spread, keep up the social distancing and wash those hands.

All the very best from the entire Henley team.
